The paintings were first made as cloth backdrops for Shrinathji, the child form of Lord Krishna, and they are filled with the things he loved: his cows, lotus ponds, peacocks and leafy trees.

The cow, often seen as Kamdhenu, the wish-fulfilling cow, stands for abundance, gentleness and Krishna's love for his herd. The palm and banana trees that fill Pichwai backgrounds stand for the lush groves of Vrindavan, where Krishna grazed his cows.

Why you'll love it

Set of 2 nesting trays in two sizes.

Pichwai cow and palm artwork on a warm orange base.

Gold-finish jaali rims with cut-out handles.

For serving, puja thalis or display.

A cheerful Diwali and housewarming gift.

Details

Material: MDF with printed top and gold-finish jaali rim

What's in the box

1 large round tray

1 small round tray

Care

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and dry immediately.

Do not soak, put in the dishwasher, or use abrasive cleaners.

Avoid placing very hot dishes directly on the printed surface.

Pair it with our Pichwai jars for a matching festive set.
